Senior 3D Animator

Warforge Studio | Doha, Qatar | Full-Time | Remote/Onsite

WarForge's kingdom is more than a base to manage — it's a world players push into, fight through, and complete missions across. We're looking for a Level Designer to build that world in-engine: setting up levels that run well on mobile, and designing the missions and quests that give players a reason to explore them.

What You'll Be Doing

  • This is a hands-on building and scripting role in Unity.
  • Design and build mission and quest content — objectives, encounter placement, pacing, and quest flow — that fits Warvest's world and progression.
  • Design combat encounters — enemy placement, wave pacing, and difficulty tuning — that challenge players fairly within our combat systems.
  • Create and populate open-world content: encounters, activities, and enemy/AI placement as players push outward.
  • Set up levels in Unity end-to-end: navmesh generation, lighting, and collision, tuned to run smoothly on mobile hardware.
  • Script gameplay logic within levels and missions to support triggers, scripted events, and encounter behavior.
  • Playtest and iterate on level layouts and mission structure based on feedback and pacing data.
  • Create and maintain documentation for your levels and missions so intent and iteration history are traceable by the rest of the team.
  • Collaborate with the Game Designer on how mission content ties into kingdom progression, resource rewards, and unlocks.
  • Work with Art to ensure level layouts and lighting support the stylized-realism direction.

What You Have

  • Proven Unity experience, including scripting (C#) for gameplay and level logic.
  • Experience designing missions or quests — objectives, pacing, and encounter design.
  • Practical, hands-on knowledge of level setup: navmesh, lighting, and collision optimization.
  • Mid-level experience 3+ years in level design, ideally on mobile titles.
  • Strong spatial reasoning and an eye for how layout, lighting, and collision shape how a space plays and feels.

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a Quest Designer, as a specialization on top of general level design.
  • Background in architecture or industrial design, or artistic skills (drawing, painting, 3D modeling) — spatial/visual training is a plus, not a filter.
  • Familiarity with 4X, strategy, or exploration-driven games.
